S. Korea: U.S.-S. Korea War Drills Protested
Pyongyang, October 24 (KCNA) -- The Taejon Headquarters of Movement for People's Sovereignty and Removal of Evils in south Korea reportedly held a press conference outside the Taejon City Hall on Oct. 17 to protest against the U.S.-south Korea joint military drills targeting the DPRK.

Speakers at the conference charged that the U.S. is aggravating the war crisis by staging the joint naval drills with the mobilization of strategic assets.

They denounced that the authorities' policy of following the U.S. sanctions and pressure upon the north is little different from the policy pursued by the Park Geun Hye regime.

They urged the U.S. to lift the sanctions against the north and stop its hostile policy and war drills and take option to normalize the relations and conclude a peace treaty with the north.

They warned that the candlelight action of all the people would be intensified if their lives are exposed to more serious threat due to the U.S. moves to ignite a war on the Korean peninsula.
