Foreign Media Observe DPRK Holidays
Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- Newspapers and magazines of different countries on Oct. 6 and 9 gave write-ups to the 20th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and its 72nd birthday.

They carried portraits of smiling leader Kim Jong Il and photos of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

The Indonesian paper International Daily lauded the party leadership feats of Kim Jong Il who developed the WPK into the leader's party, a mother party serving the people and the seasoned and experienced political general staff steering the Songun leadership.

The Nepalese online magazine Nepal Today noted that he developed the WPK into an ideologically pure entity and an integral organization ensuring the idea and leadership of the leader and into a party with solid mass foundation, stressing that his party-building feats would go down in history.

The Thai paper Xing San Daily praised him for having led the WPK to victory only for decades since he started his work at its Central Committee.

The Tanzanian paper Uhuru said that the DPRK, not big in its territory and population, is steadily advancing despite the daily escalating sanctions and pressure of the U.S. and other hostile forces, adding that the international community think that the secret of success lies in the political mode of the WPK. And it introduced the independent Songun politics and benevolent politics of the WPK.

The Congolese paper Le Patriot carried an article praising the WPK which is demonstrating its dignity and might as an invincible party under the absolute support and trust of the people.
