Present there were scientists, technicians, teachers, researchers, field officials and cultivators of mushroom from more than 30 units, including Kim Il Sung University, the State Academy of Sciences, the Central Mushroom Research Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ryugyong Mushroom Farm and Changsong Mushroom Farm.

The participants heard achievements and experience gained in the work to actively introduce advanced and practical cultivation methods, raise species of mushroom, cut down as much as possible production cost and energy and increase output.

Papers of theoretical and practical significance in putting mushroom production on a scientific, intensive, industrial and popular basis were highly appreciated.

There took place a workshop on the technology of managing various species of mushroom, technology of production of Auricularia auricular No. 1 and designing of annual mushroom production by use of wastes in the semi-vaulted greenhouse of Pyongyang Mushroom Farm.
