Rice harvest has been finished on farms in South and North Phyongan Provinces by Oct. 16 despite unfavorable weather conditions.

The agricultural workers in Phyongsong City, Jungsan, Taedong, Mundok, Ryongchon, Kwaksan, Yomju and Phihyon Counties finished harvesting before others and have directed efforts into transferring rice-sheaves and rice threshing.

Those in South Hwanghae Province carried out rice harvesting in more than 5,000 hectares of field every day.

The officials and agricultural workers in the northern areas including South and North Hamgyong provinces are pushing forward threshing with the same spirit with which they finished the rice harvesting.
