Pyongyang, October 26 (KCNA) -- Women Nobel Peace Prize winners of different countries reportedly sent a letter to the secretary general of the United Nations on Oct. 11 as regards the war crisis on the Korean peninsula owing to the U.S. imperialists' moves to stifle the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The letter said Trump's remarks calling for "total destruction" of the DPRK were explicitly a threat, urging the UN secretary general to directly solve the issue. A war should be prevented on the Korean peninsula and the DPRK-U.S. dialogue should be held to defuse the nuclear confrontation, it said. World women peace champions active for peace on the Korean peninsula demanded a halt to the U.S.-south Korea joint military drills, lifting of sanctions against the DPRK and calling to task of Trump's reckless remarks, the letter said, adding that the world people should lend their ears to this demand. |
