Palestinian Ambassador Gives Reception
Pyongyang, October 26 (KCNA) -- Ismail Ahmed Mohamed Hasan, Palestinian ambassador to the DPRK, gave a reception at the embassy on Thursday to mark the 72nd anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Present on invitation were Ri Su Yong, member of the Political Bureau and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK, Pak Chun Nam, minister of Culture, Ju Yong Gil, chairman of the C.C., General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea who is chairman of the DPRK-Palestine Friendship and Solidarity Committee, and officials concerned.

A staff member of the Palestinian embassy was on hand.

The ambassador said at the reception that the founding of the WPK by President Kim Il Sung was a historic event as it brought a fundamental turn in carving out the destiny of the Korean people.

Under the tested and experienced guidance of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, eternal leaders of the Korean people, the WPK ushered in the era of glory and prosperity for building a socialist state, and it will steadily advance under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, he stressed.

Expressing thanks and respects to the firm stand of the DPRK always supporting the Palestinian people's cause of justice for building an independent state, the ambassador wished the great WPK and the Korean people well-being, progress and prosperity.

Ri Su Yong said it is an expression of reverence for Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il that the Palestinian friends have significantly celebrated the anniversary of the WPK together with the Korean people every year.

He expressed the stand of the WPK and the DPRK government to boost the militant friendship and solidarity between the peoples of the two countries.

The Korean people will as ever extend invariable support and solidarity the Palestinian people in the just cause to put an end to the Israeli aggressors' occupation and retake the legitimate national rights including the founding of an independent state, he stressed.
