Commemorative Lectures Given in Various Countries

| Pyongyang, October 28 (KCNA) -- Lecture meetings were held in Guinea, Angola, Austria and Romania between Sept. 28 and Oct. 10 to mark the 20th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and its 72nd birthday. Attending them were personages of different social standings and citizens of those countries. The deputy director general of the Kim Il Sung Institute of Agricultural Science in Guinea explained the essential content of the Juche idea fathered by President Kim Il Sung, saying it is the guiding idea of the WPK. The chief and members of the Youth Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism in Vienna mentioned Kim Il Sung's feats for party-building and the historic significance of the foundation of the WPK. The chairman of the Romanian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea noted that Kim Jong Il turned the WPK into the party of the leader and a guiding force of the Songun revolution and defended the destiny of the country and nation, holding high the banner of Songun in the period of unprecedentedly stern ordeals. |
