Rodong Sinmun Slams S. Korean Regime's Servile Diplomacy
|

Pyongyang, October 28 (KCNA) -- The puppet regime of south Korea held a consultation of chief negotiators to the six party talks and a consultation of vice foreign ministers with their masters U.S. and Japan. There they asked the U.S. and Japan to "deter the north's provocation" and help them attain the "goal of denuclearization", claiming "the north's nuclear and missile threats have reached a serious level." Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Saturday says: The puppet regime should think twice about what phase the DPRK-U.S. nuclear confrontation has reached and what terrible results will be produced by their reckless act of depending on the U.S. and Japan if it has not lost its sense of reality and ability to judge the situation. Now is just the crucial time for the regime to behave itself, facing up to the changed strategic position of the DPRK and the trend of the times. The regime's servile diplomacy for "soliciting foreign cooperation in pressurizing the north" is just a petty trick to resume the worn-out six-party talks. It is also an unpardonable act of treachery to do harm to the compatriots at any cost with the backing of outsiders. The puppet regime is going so foolish as to flatter the U.S., "thanking it for its resolute counteraction." It is now crazily beating the drum of confrontation, trumpeting about "new-level pressure," not content with offering the whole of south Korea to the U.S. for its north-targeted war drills. The north-south relations are deteriorating as the days go by and a touch-and-go situation is prevailing on the Korean peninsula. This is a product of the hideous acts of treachery of the puppet regime which has run wild to realize its wild dream for depriving the DPRK of its nukes in league with the U.S. and Japan. Explicitly speaking once again, no force can ever check the strenuous advance of the DPRK along the road of simultaneously developing the two fronts, demonstrating its dignity as a nuclear power. |
