The Syria TV Channel praised President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il for founding and developing the WPK, illustrated with their photos.

Radio Syria aired a special report praising the WPK for having taken the proud road for 70 odd years.

SANA said that the WPK has always led the Korean people to victory, overcoming all difficulties of history.

The WPK will as ever advance along the road of victory and glory, it added.

The paper Al Nour carried an article titled "Leader Kim Jong Il's party building exploits".

The paper Al Baath in an article titled "On the occasion of the 72nd founding anniversary of the WPK, The idea of the WPK serves as driving force developing the army and the state in all aspects" noted that respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un is strengthening the WPK into iron-willed vanguard rank which advances with the strength of ideology and might of unity and into the genuine mother party making selfless, devoted efforts for the people on the people-first principle.
