The situation on the Korean peninsula is becoming worse day by day, statement said. It noted that after introducing nuclear weapons into south Korea from scores of years ago, the U.S. has ceaselessly conducted provocative nuclear war drills, persistently sidestepping the DPRK's just proposal for denuclearizing the Korean peninsula.

The U.S., the only country that used nuclear weapons in the world, is getting ever more frantic to stifle the DPRK under the pretext of the nuclear issue, and the DPRK, which has never posed a threat to other countries, is becoming the target for a barbarous war by the U.S., the statement said, adding:

The "sanctions resolutions" against the DPRK cooked up at the UN are further deteriorating the situation on the Korean peninsula as they are contrary to the UN Charter.
