S. Korean Body Demands U.S. Purify Soil and Underground Water in Its Military Base

| Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- It was reportedly disclosed that the soil and underground water in the U.S. military base in Puphyong of south Korea, to be transferred, have been seriously contaminated. Different sorts of toxics such as a defoliant causing cancer were detected in the soil of the base and the underground water has been contaminated by the arsenic, cadmium, quick-silver and other heavy metals. The Green Federation in Inchon made public a statement on Oct. 27 to demand that the U.S. forces transfer the base after apologizing for the pollution and purifying the contaminated soil and water. |
