Men and women players of the April 25 Sports Team, the Kigwancha Sports Team, the Defense Sports Team of the Korean People's Army and the Amnokgang Defence Sports Team renewed national records in weightlifting, swimming, archery and shooting events during the championships.

The April 25 Sports Team won in men's and women's basketball and volleyball events.

Present at the closing ceremony were Choe Hwi, vice-chairman of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea, Vice-Premier Jon Kwang Ho, officials concerned, sportspersons and citizens.
