The novel gives an artistic depiction of the exploits President Kim Il Sung performed by frustrating the moves of the U.S. and the traitorous puppet regime of south Korea and inspiring all Koreans to the sacred struggle for national reunification after the liberation of the country.

It also deals with the exploits the President performed by forming the Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea and realizing the merger of the workers' parties in the north and the south and thus turning the DPRK into an invincible bulwark for national reunification in a matter of two years since its founding.
