S. Korean Organization Launches Actions against U.S. War Moves
Pyongyang, November 1 (KCNA) -- The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification of south Korea reportedly launched actions in Seoul on Oct. 28 to protest against the war moves of the U.S. imperialists and the puppet authorities.

It held a press conference outside the Defense Ministry building.

Noting that a south Korea-U.S. annual security consultation was to be held that day to discuss the expansive deployment of the U.S. strategic assets in south Korea, the matter of ratcheting up military pressure upon the north and purchase of nuclear-powered subs and U.S.-made weaponry, the speakers said the expansive deployment will only stoke the nuclear confrontation in Northeast Asia and offer Japan an excuse and opportunity for reinvading the peninsula.

They urged the U.S. to halt the large-scale joint military drills.

They picketed along the road in front of the Defense Ministry.

Then, they held a No-THAAD rally together with inhabitants of Sosong-ri, Songju County and Kim Chon City of North Kyongsang Province near Chongwadae.

Speakers at the rally urged the regime to halt the THAAD deployment project and its operation if it is something for a temporary use as it claims.

Withdrawal of THAAD is a stern order given by the public, they said.

They headed for the U.S. embassy and picketed in front of it protesting against the U.S. hostile policy toward the north and expressing their will to get THAAD withdrawn and achieve peace.
