Hessou Kohovi, chairman of the Benin National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea who doubles as chairman of the Benin-Korea Amicable Association "Long Live Kim Jong Il, Supreme Leader", was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to give wide publicity to the feats performed leader Kim Jong Il on the occasion of his 6th demise anniversary.
