The meeting involving Mattis, U.S. secretary of Defense, and Song Yong Mu, puppet defense minister, discussed the operation of THAAD deployed in south Korea, the escalation of the rotation deployment of U.S. strategic assets in the Korean peninsula, the cooperation in the revision of missile guidelines, the transfer of the wartime operation control, etc.

It also decided to share the information about "missile threat from the north" and take additional military steps such as drills of task force of U.S. nuclear carriers and ballistic missile warning.

Earlier, at the 42nd military committee meeting the chairmen of U.S. and south Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff discussed the proposal for a joint operation to cope with "nuclear and missile threats from the north" and the proposal for the renewal of "OPLAN 5015".

Rodong Sinmun in a commentary Saturday says this shows that the moves of warmongers at home and abroad to stifle the DPRK by all military means including nuclear weapons have reached a very grave stage.

No matter what they may talk about the escalation of the rotation deployment of strategic assets and the renewal of "OPLAN 5015", the army and people of the DPRK view their bluff as the last-ditch efforts of those falling into the bottomless pit of doom.

The U.S. and south Korean puppet warmongers should act with discretion, mindful that their reckless military conspiracy and war provocation moves against the DPRK will lead to their own final doom.
