Bangladeshi Figure Supports DPRK's Stand
Pyongyang, November 6 (KCNA) -- Garib Newaz, president of the Bangladesh People's League who is a lawyer of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, called for organizing an international forum of lawyers for clarifying the legal grounds of the UN Security Council's unreasonable "sanctions resolutions" against the DPRK.

He said in a statement on Nov. 1:

The UNSC adopted "sanctions resolutions", terming the DPRK's nuclear tests and ICBM test-fires "threats to global peace."

But no paragraph in the UN Charter and any international codes specify such actions as threats to global peace and security.

The UNSC, which is obliged to act true to the UN mission of guaranteeing global peace and security, can table issues only when they are confirmed that a country wrecked peace and invaded another country.

Progressive lawyers in Bangladesh call for organizing an international forum of lawyers to clarify the legal grounds of the UNSC's anti-DPRK "sanctions resolutions."
