This was stressed in a statement which was made public at an inaugural ceremony of the Swiss committee for remembering leader Kim Jong Il on the 6th anniversary of his demise held in Basel on Nov. 3.

The DPRK emerged a nuclear weapons state under the guidance of Generalissimo Kim Jong Il, the statement said, adding:
