Jozef Servista, deputy general secretary of the Central Committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party and vice-chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to organize political and cultural events including seminar, meeting and film show in praise of the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the 6th anniversary of his demise.
