The authorities announced that there would be a public hearing in Seoul on Nov. 10 to calm down the protest.

Enraged by this, members of the FTA Countermeasure Committee held a press conference in front of the venue of the public hearing that day.

The Federation of Peasants Associations and the countermeasure committee involving organizations of agriculture and animal husbandry declared that they would not pardon the FTA revision.

They threw rotten eggs and shoes to officials of the "government".

The public hearing was cancelled by the struggle.

The organization held a press conference again after the cancellation of the public hearing, and said it would hold a rally of farmers on Nov. 18 and surely check the negotiation for revision of FTA.
