Stone Sculpture of Three Buddhists in Mt Kumgang
Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- There is a stone sculpture depicting the three Buddhists (Shakyamuni, Amitabha, Maitreya) in Inner Kumgang area of Mt Kumgang, one of the most noted mountains in Korea.

It was built in the period of Koryo (918-1392).

A triangle rock where three Buddhists are depicted is 8 meters high and 9 meters long and Buddhists 3.7 meters high and 1.3 meters wide.

The sculptural art of Korean ancestors is a precious historical relic in those days.

President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il visited Mt Kumgang for several times and instructed to preserve and manage historical relics and cultural remains well.
