President Kim Il Sung delivered a speech "The Duty of Mothers in the Education of Children" at the 1st National Meeting of Mothers on November 16, 1961.

Kim Jong Un made sure that the 4th National Meeting of Mothers was held on the occasion of the first Mother's Day in Juche 101 (2012) and had a photo session with the participants of the meeting.
