Dozens of Women Awarded Labor Hero Title in DPRK since 1990s
Pyongyang, November 16 (KCNA) -- Since the 1990s, dozens of women were awarded the title of Labor Hero in the DPRK for giving birth to many children.

Kim Kwang Ju and Pang Ok Song respectively gave birth to eight children and let all of them join the army.

Kim Si Nyo in Wiwon County of Jagang Province and Pak On Jon in Un Ryul County of South Hwanghae Province gave birth to 14 and 8 children each and brought them up to be robust offspring, thereby fulfilling their duty as mothers.

Ri Hui Sun in Onsong County of North Hamgyong Province and So Hye Suk in Mangyongdae District of Pyongyang took warm care of orphans as their real mothers would do when the country weathered hardships, thus giving full play to the spiritual and moral traits of the Korean women.

Ri Myong Son, Ri Ok Bun, Jong Pok Nyo, Yu Jong Sil, Kang Jong Suk and Cha Chun Son, too, brought up dozens of orphans.

Pak Ok Dan, Mun Jong Sun, Song Kum Suk and four other women became heroines with the 4th National Conference of Mothers as an occasion.

Ranks of patriotic women bringing up their children as reliable pillars of prosperous Korea are expanding as the days go by as they follow the examples set by true heroines who gave birth to many children and brought them up to be pillars of the country and cared for the pain of others as their own.
