Many industrial establishments like the Kaesong Botanical Garden, Kaesong Koryo Insam Processing Factory and Kaesong Songdo Garment Factory, institutions and families in the city have planted a number of kiwi trees.

According to an official concerned, the city harvested 1.3 times more fruits this year than last.

In their lifetime, President Kim Il Sung called for planting on a large scale kiwi trees and leader Kim Jong Il took due measures to make a scientific research into it and spread it.

Kiwi fruit is regarded as tasty one for its good fragrance, rich sugar content and strong medicinal actions.
