A vice-general secretary of the Islamic Coalition Party of Iran was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee set a remembrance period from Nov. 11 to Dec. 20 and decided to hold political and cultural events praising the career and exploits of Kim Jong Il on the sixth anniversary of his demise.
