Int'l Symposium on Koreanologies Held

Pyongyang, November 18 (KCNA) -- An international symposium on the Koreanologies took place at the People's Palace of Culture on Saturday. Present there were teachers and researchers of Kim Il Sung University and Juche idea followers of different countries and other foreign guests and the delegation of the Korean Social Scientists Association in Japan who took part in the Third National Conference of Social Scientists. The addressor of the symposium expressed belief that the international symposium, held during the Third National Conference of Social Scientists, would be helpful to deepening the study of the Koreanologies and having better understanding of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Speeches were made on such subjects as "On Invincibility of Juche Socialism", "Universal Significance of Socialism Based on Juche Idea" and "Strategic Position of the DPRK Guaranteed by Powerful Politico-Military Might". Speakers said that the Juche idea is a unique revolutionary idea showing the road ahead of mankind and socialist Korea plays the leading role in establishing a fair and just, new international order as the fortress for independence against imperialism. They mentioned the strategic position of Juche Korea which proudly ranked itself among world-class nuclear powers and military powers by dint of self-reliance and self-development and the indomitable spirit of the Korean people advancing toward the high eminence of an economic power and a highly-civilized nation. And they explained scientific accuracy and superiority of the Korean style socialism. They expressed belief that the DPRK, guided by respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, would vigorously advance along the road of independence and justice, weathering the tempest of history. The symposium heard the achievements and experience gained in the study of Koreanologies such as the Korean nation's time-honored history, peculiar folk traditions and manners and customs. |
