Present there on invitation were Harish Gupta, vice director-general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea, and his party, delegations and delegates of Juche idea study organizations, scholars from various Chinese social science institutions and universities, and a delegation of the Korean Social Scientists Association in Japan led by Chairman Ri Yong Su.

Pak Thae Song, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK, Thae Hyong Chol, president of Kim Il Sung University and concurrently minister of Higher Education who is chairman of the Social Scientists Society of Korea, Ri Hye Jong, president of the Academy of Social Sciences, and officials concerned were on hand.
