Song Tao Lays Floral Basket at Friendship Tower

Pyongyang, November 20 (KCNA) -- Song Tao, head of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) who is a special envoy of Xi Jinping, general secretary of the C.C., CPC, laid a floral basket at the Friendship Tower on Sunday.

Present at the floral basket-laying ceremony were the special envoy's party and Li Jinjun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of his embassy.

Placed at the tower were floral baskets in the names of the special envoy of the general secretary of the C.C., CPC and others.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteers before going round the tower.

Then, they visited the Songhung Revolutionary Site in Hoechang County, South Phyongan Province and laid floral baskets at the cemetery of martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteers there.
