Pyongyang, November 21 (KCNA) -- There reportedly took place a mammoth public candlelight rally and meeting in Seoul on Nov. 18 in demand of dissolution of the "Liberal Korea Party" and eradication of the evils left by the former conservative regimes. Citizens gathered in front of the LKP building in Youido where they demanded the immediate dissolution of the party with candlelight in their hands. Speakers there accused a lawmaker from the party of branding the campaigners for combating the evils left by the former conservative regimes as "Juche idea followers" and "left-wing followers of the north." The participants expressed their will to get the party, the cesspool of evils, dissolved without fail. There was an all-people meeting in front of the People's Bank calling for eradication of evils, reforms of society and peace against war. More than 12 000 people of various circles from across south Korea took part in the meeting. Speakers there said the public ousted Park Geun Hye from power and sent her to jail with their concerted efforts but those who escaped punishment made the "Liberal Korea Party" and are quenching the desire of the candlelight demonstrators. Civic and social organizations including the April 16 Solidarity headed for the "National Assembly" building from the Kwanghwamun Plaza. They criticized the coteries of the LKP for deceiving the people. |
