S. Koreans Stage Actions against THAAD Deployment

| Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- Members of organizations of various circles, inhabitants of Songju County in North Kyongsang Province and Won Buddhists of south Korea reportedly staged protest actions against the regime's project for building a THAAD base on Nov. 21. Upon receiving the news about the authorities' move to transport equipment for the project, more than one hundred protesters blocked the road to the base in token of resistance. More than 5 000 policemen deployed near the base violently put down their protest actions and dispersed the crowd. That day the All-People Action for Checking THAAD Deployment released a statement censuring the introduction of equipment and the police's violence against the demonstrators. |
