The Swiss committee for remembering Generalissimo Kim Jong Il on the sixth anniversary of his demise and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea said this in a joint statement issued on Nov. 14 to mark the 25th publication anniversary of Kim Jong Il's work "Socialism Is the Lifeline of Our People".

The statement noted that his work was published in the grim period when the imperialists and reactionaries were making desperate efforts to stifle socialist Korea, taking advantage of the collapse of socialism in various countries.

It went on:

Leader Kim Jong Il in his work stressed the need to resolutely defend and advance the socialist cause.

Korean-style socialism centered on the popular masses is based on the Juche idea.

Korean-style socialism regards the people as the most valuable being and their interests as the noblest thing and makes everything serve them, and it has been deeply kept in the mind of the people.

His work serves as a powerful weapon for the Korean people struggling to defend Juche-based socialism and a historic document that injected new dynamism into the world socialist movement.
