Present there were Kim Yong Nyo, chairperson of the Federation, members of its Central Committee, representatives of its regional associations and Choe Un Bok, chairperson of the General Association of Koreans in China and officials of its headquarters and Koreans in China.

Kim Yong Nyo in a report noted that over the past years the Federation has strengthened itself in every way under the paternal love and trust of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, cherishing the patriotic loyalty to them.

The reporter reviewed the achievements made by the Federation in the patriotic movement for the prosperity of the socialist homeland and the work to reunify the country by the united efforts of the nation.

The chairperson set forth the tasks for further strengthening the Federation into an overseas youth vanguard firmly defending and glorifying the revolutionary feats of the peerlessly great persons of Mt Paektu and a patriotic organization contributing to the reunification of the country and the building of a powerful country as was pledged to the respected Marshal.

Then there were speeches by representatives of various regional associations.

The congress renamed the Federation of Young Korean Nationals in China the Association of Young Korean Nationals in China and announced the modified and supplemented rules of the organization.

There were also elections of the chairperson of the association and executive members and members of its Central Committee.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the Congress.
