S. Koreans Call for Punishing Those Responsible for Hiding Fact about Discovered Remains of Victim of Ferry Sinking

Pyongyang, November 27 (KCNA) -- The April 16 Family Council and the April 16 Solidarity of south Korea reportedly held a press conference at the building of the "National Assembly" on Nov. 23. They made public a statement calling for punishing those who hided the fact about the discovery of remains of a victim of the Ferry Sewol Disaster.

Although remains of a victim were found when cleaning mud off the hull of the ferry, a person concerned of the Ministry of Marine Transport and Fishery hided the fact on Nov. 17, the statement recalled.

It urged the authorities of the ministry to investigate those involved in the case, make an official apology to the families of the victims and the people and take a step to prevent its recurrence and find out the remains of victims still missing.
