Pyongyang, November 27 (KCNA) -- Candidates for chairman, vice-chairman and secretary general of the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) at a press conference held on Nov. 24 before Hwasong Prison called for setting free Chairman of the organization Han Sang Gyun and lifting the search for Secretary General Ri Yong Ju who is on the wanted list, the south Korean internet paper Jaju Sibo said. In the press release the organization denounced the present "government", which came to existence with the commitments to the abolition of evil administration and the great reform of society, for not releasing even one of those who were thrown into prison under the repressive Park Geun Hye regime. They were heroes of the candlelight demonstrations as they fought for the rights and existence of all workers and citizens, the press release said. It urged the "government" to set free Han Sang Gyun and show its will to realize society where labor is respected. If the "government" does not take appropriate measure by the end of the year, the KCTU would take it a top priority task in its struggle against "government" to have Han Sang Gyun released from prison. |
