Party and State Commendations Awarded to Persons Who Worked Feats in Fruit Growing

Pyongyang, November 27 (KCNA) -- Party and state commendations were awarded to officials, innovators, scientists and researchers who have worked feats in fruit growing.

Officials and workers in the field of fruits growing reaped an unprecedentedly rich fruit harvest.

An awarding-ceremony took place at the People's Palace of Culture on Monday.

Present there were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, and participants in the national meeting of activists in the field of fruit growing.

Ri Tae Hyok received a watch bearing the august name of President Kim Il Sung and Choe Yong Ik and Han Myong Jo watches bearing the august name of leader Kim Jong Il.

Citations of Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, were conferred upon eleven persons including Kim Kwang Sok and Kim Chol Nam and a citation of Kim Jong Un, supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, upon Ri Ju Ho.

Ri Song Chol received the title of Merited Scientist and Kim Yong Chol and Ju Jae Gun the title of Merited Tractor Driver.

Order of National Flag First Class went to 27 persons, Order of Labor to 20 persons, Order of National Flag Second Class to 153, Order of National Flag Third Class to 124, Merit Medal to 9 and Agricultural Merit Medal to 54.
