Minju Joson Slashes at U.S. Moves for Making Asian-version NATO

Pyongyang, November 28 (KCNA) -- The U.S. started a joint military drill in the waters off Okinawa of Japan on Nov. 16 with the involvement of Japan "Self-Defense Forces", 14 000 troops, USS Ronald Reagan and three guided missile destroyers. Timed to coincide with it, the U.S. rounded off the deployment of its 16 F-35Bs boasting of their VTOL and high stealth capabilities and high-efficiency radar in Japan. Commenting on this, Minju Joson Tuesday says: The above-said moves prove that the U.S. is getting frantic in its moves to secure military edge in the Asia-Pacific region. CNN, the New York Times and other major U.S. media recently held that the core of Trump's new Asia policy is to make Asian-version NATO with its Asian allies as a pivot. Those concerned of the U.S. military involved in joint military drills with various codenames are openly asserting that the drills are aimed to promote the capabilities for military cooperation and "inter-operability." The U.S. crazy moves for establishing the Asian-version NATO are aimed to tighten its control over its inferior allies under the military alliance system and carry out its policy of aggression and confrontation in Asia. The U.S. is hell-bent on the moves to maintain and cement its military edge in the region by dint of its absolute force but it is just a pipedream. War and confrontation will only bring complete ruin to it, not benefits. The U.S. should stop at once such risky moves of doing harm to others as they will only backfire. |
