Kwail County in South Hwanghae Province dug a large amount of peat for the production of quality huminite, created a 24 km-long windbreak along coastline and developed agrochemicals with its own efforts, thus increasing per-hectare fruit yield 2.5 times, apple production 5.8 times in particular.

The Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm produced thousands more tons of apple by fertilizing and tending orchards in a scientific way and introducing advanced technology, while the Kosan Combined Fruit Farm harvested 1.5 times more fruit this year than last year.

The same is true of the Toksong Apple Farm and Onchon, Songhan, Sariwon, Myonggan and Ryulsong fruit farms which have ensured the full operation of farm machines and introduced efficient sprayer into fruit farming.
