Respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un sent a historic letter "Let Us Bring about a New Upsurge in Geological Prospecting" to the participants in the National Meeting of Workers Active in Geological Prospecting held last year.

In order to implement the tasks set forth by Kim Jong Un in his letter, a designing institute of the ministry and a technology group of the factory completed the design of the hydraulic drill, the main parts of which can be produced with locally available materials, on the basis of technical indices confirmed in reality.

The weight of new drill is a ton lighter than the existing one, but 1.8 times higher in rotational frequency.

It is smooth to control its rotational speed and easy to install and operate the drill.

Meanwhile, the factory succeeded in manufacturing artificial diamond crowns of different sizes.
