Meeting of Solidarity with Korean People Held in Sweden
Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- A meeting was held in Stockholm under the sponsorship of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association on Nov. 13 to express support and solidarity with the just cause of the Korean people and denounce the U.S. war moves to bring a nuclear disaster to the Korean peninsula.

Christer Lundgren, chairman of the Association, said at the meeting, noting that during his visit to the DPRK he witnessed the achievements made in improving the people's livelihood and building an economic power:

With reliance on their own strength, the Korean people are pushing ahead with the building of a powerful socialist nation despite the harsh economic sanctions and blockade by the hostile forces.

Owing to the Trump administration's undisguised aggression moves against the DPRK, the situation on the Korean peninsula is inching close to the brink of a war.

The DPRK is beefing up its self-reliant defense capabilities with the nuclear force as a pivot to cope with the U.S. nuclear threat.

The progressive people struggling for independence, peace and social justice must learn a lot from socialist Korea.

A solidarity statement was adopted at the meeting.

The statement flayed Trump's Asia visit aimed to block the economic growth and "topple" the social system in the DPRK.

The No. 1 rogue state in the world is the U.S. which has violated the peoples' basic rights to live, being engrossed in acts of aggression against other countries. It is the foremost task for the progressive mankind aspiring after independence and peace to fight against the U.S. imperialists, the statement said, adding:

The friends of the DPRK in Sweden extend full support and solidarity to the Korean people in the struggle to smash the war moves of the imperialists and build a powerful socialist country and achieve the independent reunification of the country.
