Commenting on the fact, Rodong Sinmun Thursday says:

Such act of traitor Hong is an intolerable mockery of the candlelight demonstrators demanding the abolition of evils, and also a last-ditch effort of a poor pro-U.S. stooge keen on reviving the dying right-wing forces, with the backing of the U.S.

Hong has long been branded as a mentally deranged man and a human reject for his thoughtless wild rubbish and unreasonable frenzy, and has been censured and snubbed even by conservatives, being called as "Hong Quixote".

Hong's desperate bid to rally the conservative forces to put a brake in the drive for the abolition of evils under the backstage manipulation of the U.S. is an intolerable act of treachery to do away with all the achievements made by south Koreans through candlelight demonstrations, and to reverse the current of history.

The situation proves that the puppet conservative forces' moves to calm down the demand for the removal of evils and conservatism and get out of the abyss of ruin have reached a serious phase which can no longer be overlooked.

Unless the desperate offensive of Hong group is checked, it will not be possible to realize the abolition of evils wished by the south Koreans nor will it be possible to realize the demand of the candlelight demonstrators for a new politics and a new life.
