The message noted that the Lao government and people have achieved big successes in the work to further consolidate the people's democratic system and carry out the eighth five-year plan of social economic development under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.

Expressing belief that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries would steadily strengthen in conformity with the desire of their peoples, the message wished the prime minister greater success in his work.
