Present at the meeting were personages of political and social circles of Nepal.

The meeting discussed and decided the issues of holding political and cultural events such as a seminar, book and photo exhibition and film show under the sponsorship of the remembrance committee and giving wide publicity to the noble career and revolutionary exploits of the peerlessly great persons on the occasion of the 6th anniversary of demise of Kim Jong Il.

Adopted there was an appeal sent by the committee to the friendly and solidarity organizations with the Korean people in different countries of the world.

The appeal said that Dec. 17, 2017 marks the 6th anniversary of demise of HE Kim Jong Il, eternal head of the Workers' Party of Korea and great leader of the Korean people. It went on:

HE Kim Jong Il, who was born in Mt Paektu, the holy mountain of Korea, and grew up in the flames of the anti-Japanese war, had successfully assisted the great leader President Kim Il Sung in his work for a long period as his most faithful assistant and revolutionary comrade.

He conducted energetic activities for the victory of the socialist cause, world peace and stability and friendship and solidarity with world people under the uplifted banner of independence against imperialism, demonstrated the dignity of the DPRK and made a great contribution to accomplishing the human cause of independence.

His exploits will be eternally cherished in the hearts of humankind.

The appeal called upon the friendly and solidarity organizations with the Korean people in the world to organize remembrance committees and hold events to praise his revolutionary career and exploits.
