Dmitri Kostenko, chairman of the Russian Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to give wide publicity to Kim Jong Il's revolutionary career and exploits and organize political and cultural events including a seminar on the sixth anniversary of his demise.
