Bird Flu Virus Detected in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- Highly pathogenic bird flu virus was again detected on Jeju Island in the wake of a similar case on Nov. 23, according to MBC of south Korea. The excrement of a wild bird found on the island was finally confirmed to be H5N6, a highly pathogenic bird flu virus. Even in winter, bird flu occurred or highly pathogenic virus was detected in several regions of south Korea, raising uneasiness among people. |
