Pekka Kotkasaari, chairman of the Finland-Korea Society, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to organize political and cultural events including remembrance meeting, book and photo exhibition and film show to praise the noble revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the 6th anniversary of his demise.
