Blade Nzimande, general secretary of the C.C., South African Communist Party, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to organize political and cultural events in praise of leader Kim Jong Il's exploits for the Korean revolution and the global cause of independence on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of his demise.
