The U.S. and the south Korean regime's unprecedented war racket aimed at a preemptive attack for "totally destroying" the north is pushing the acute situation on the Korean peninsula to the brink of war, the statement said.

Branding the drill as a grave military provocation and an unpardonable thrice-cursed crime to trample down the desire of all Koreans aspiring after peace, security and national reunification and plunge the Korean peninsula into a nuclear holocaust, it went on to say:

It clearly shows that the U.S. and the south Korean war maniacs are, indeed, wreckers of peace and provokers of a nuclear war.

The statement blamed the south Korean regime for following in the footsteps of the former sycophancy regime hell-bent on kowtowing to the U.S. and escalating confrontation with the compatriots in the north and for unhesitatingly joining the U.S. in its military provocation, the height of hostile acts against the DPRK.

The association will tangibly contribute to the anti-U.S. struggle of all Koreans to resolutely foil the U.S. sanctions and military moves to stifle the DPRK, protect peace of the homeland and usher in the new era of independent reunification by dint of the great unit of the nation under the banner of the Korean nation itself, it stated.
