Kulikov, secretary of the regional committee who doubles as chairman of the Association for the Study of Kimilsungism－Kimjongilism of Russia in the Far East Region, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to give wide publicity to the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il and hold political and cultural events such as a remembrance meeting and film show.
