Speakers at the rally said the authorities styling themselves as a "candlelight government" do not solve the problem of back-to-work of sacked workers in the public sector but break the promise to get rid of part-time jobs.

They also condemned the NA for failing to adopt a bill for ensuring rights of activities of trade unions.

Now the NA is getting frantic with the moves to pass the retrogressively revised "Labor Standards Act", they noted.

They urged the NA to meet the demand of the workers for ensuring vital rights and stop the moves to retrogressively revise the "Labor Standards Act".
