Present there were Chairman Ho Jong Man, vice-chairmen Nam Sung U and Pae Ik Ju of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, its Vice-Chairwoman Kang Chu Ryon who is chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the Union of Democratic Korean Women in Japan, chairpersons of the Chongryon headquarters in Kanto area, leading officials of central organizations and business groups and Koreans in Japan.

Ho Jong Man said in his speech that the DPRK women footballers won the title of the championship by defeating the Chinese, south Korean and Japanese teams and thus displayed the dignity and might of Juche Korea.

Their success instilled into the officials of Chongryon and all other compatriots in Japan the honor and pride of being overseas citizens of the DPRK, he added.

Kim Jang San, secretary general of the DPRK Football Association, in his speech expressed deep thanks to officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan for their heartfelt support and cheering.

He said that the DPRK women footballers would prove successful at international games in the future, too, and give greater strength and courage to the Koreans in Japan firmly defending the soul of the Korean nation.
